Would be a great fit at Rutgers. He s a great recruiter and fantastic coach who all the local high school coaches will love. Steve completely turned around a terrible BC program into a constant 8 win program.
then why isn't he staying at BC if he is great? No thank you.

BC has never won 8 games in a single season under Addazio in 7 years. GTFO

BC was 52-40 in the 7 years prior to Adazzio. Since hiring him they have been 43-44 in a weakened ACC. Boy he really turned them around.

.

Do you hear anyone from the high schools around here in N.J. raving about Steve Addazio or any other coach , seriously from the fan base to the governor and donors / recruits . Why would any coach want to coach somewhere he is not wanted and at the moment they don’t want the AD around , please answer that question

RU is in a great position to turn things around, just get an AD that wants to spend the B1G money on a winning power 5 coach. Keep some of your in-state talent and your off to the races. No DC's like Ash that recruits never heard of, go with winners with a name.

Check out BC's rosters over his time and see how many players RU tried to get here.

His record at BC does raise a legit question.

The media wants us to be terrible... I'm convinced! Not a mention of a single great coach. It has been all sorry choices, even Greg Schiano

i have a feeling we are doomed as a football program Pat Blobs will shove this down our throat the day after BC fires him. A losing coach from the ACC will do well in the BIG. SMDH

Consistent 8 Win seasons? OP must have flunked out of Mathematics 101.

I feel like he is just a stop gap coach. He has a high floor, low ceiling but will buy us time to raise more money for better facilities. He would also win a few local recruiting battles (a couple coaches have already been quoted saying he would be a good choice as a program builder) If he gets us back to 5-7, 6-6, maybe 7-5 record area over the next 4-5 years then we can start looking at someone to get to the next level after that.

Not a huge fan, but certainly we could do worse is the best way I'd put it.

Maybe because no "great" coach would touch this job with a 10' pole?
Rutgers hasn't even tried... ***** getting depressing... did they not see how empty the stands were? How the hell is their main target going to be a Rutgers coach who never won the Big East?

Worse choice ever. He would get crushed in B1G east. Especially noteworthy is year 2 at temple.
