Well I have a travel advantage for this game. On a clear day I can see the stadium from my house. The venue around the stadium is very nice. Bars, restaurants, open air spaces for live bands, etc. For the most part, the area was cotton fields a few years ago. It would be great catching up with Sockless or any there OU fans. There is an open invitation for those making the trip. I'm sure the OU Club of Az will have their normal shindig at Tilted Kilt.

Do you have room for some RVs in your back yard? Lol

I believe our homeowners association set the rules Abu Ghraib prisoner interrogation. No cars outside garages or in driveways at night. I live in the boulders at Pinnacle Peak...my backyard is the 3rd fairway on Troon North Pinnacle Course.

What does this mean exactly? (No cars outside garages or in driveways at night)

Is that what I think you mean? A person can't use his driveway? I have a 2 car garage but we never park our cars in there. I have to many power tools in mine.

EDIT: and we specifically moved into this neighborhood because there was no home owners association.

That is exactly what it means. No cars on the street or in the driveways at night. If one is having a party then they are requested to notify HOA to allow parking on the street past sunset. It is a gated community and the HOA rules are very strict (which I don't mind at all). I live on a cul-de-sac and for the most part every house has a long drive. I have a gate at street level and my "motor court" is not visible to the street. I have a 4 car garage and I plan on adding another 4 car garage this summer to accommodate car collection. Houses are allowed maximum 4 garages so my additional garages cannot have standard garage doors. I will put in mock french doors that opens exactly the same. The appearance of guesthouse rather than garage. Detached garages are not allowed so I will build an arched connection between main house and new garage. The HOA rules are about 180 pages.

If OU can pull off a National Championship that means he and his dad both took one home 30 years apart. I was in Miami for his father's and I will be in Phoenix for his.
Been to many OU games and the best seat in the house for me is in front of my 60 inch plasma, cold beer, no traffic, no walking, no long lines at the stinky restrooms and a heck of a lot cheaper!

I agree with this. My dad and I went to every home game from 1976 thru 1989 (except one - my grandmothers funeral was that day). My first game was in 1969 to see Mr Steve Owens

I have been to almost every bowl game as well. At my age I prefer my tv and cheap beer and my restroom. Plus the pause button is wonderful/////

EDIT: OOPS we missed 2 home games. The 1976 home game against OSU we watched that game from GIA Arena. Closed circuit tv was the new thing back them. GIA back then was just Gallagher Hall. OSU added the I (Iba) a few years later

I agree with you 67 but I have a 17 year old daughter that loves to go to games. I only get to take her to a couple of regular season games because of my travel and work schedule so bowl season is all about her.

K2C and 67 - not that big but we did over do it a bit once we sat down with the architects.

By contrast, we lived in a neighborhood in a burb of Chicago that did not allow for any trucks, including personal pick ups and/or service trucks to be visible from the street 24/7 w/o prior notice to the HOA. Weird stuff, but a nice hood nonetheless.

WNS, I don't mind the restriction at all. Our region does not have overhead electrical lines, no street lights and on the main roads no sign boards taller tan 12'. No landscaping or vegetation not native to Maricopa Country. The property values remain at the top end of the spectrum in Scottsdale. We had our choice of where we wanted to build our home in the USA and looked in about 10 different states. We had a checklist of "yes" and "no". Strict HOA rules was on the Yes list.

I'm going to miss Sterling more than any player we've seen graduate in quite a few years. Terrific kid that deserves ALL the best in life going forward.
I second that, ST...I've been hooked on Sterling more than any player since Ryan Broyles, who proved to us that anyone can be wrong, but not everyone can be right, again...
