great quote by Curry:
"I don't think irritate is the word. Just confused," Curry said. "When they're down by that much and still allowing us to get open shots. It kind of surprised me."

thats a crazy approach. it basically means they played 4 on 3...who would think that would work out well?

against us........he'd run a diamond & 1 and a triangle & 2 a lot. Gimmick defenses that work when you break them out from time to time, especially on a team with 1 really good player.

"We had to play against an NBA player tonight," Patsos explained. "Anybody else ever hold him scoreless? I'm a history major. They're going to remember that we held him scoreless or we lost by 30?"

Those defenses simply man up the best players and zone the remaining defenders. Loyola put two guys on Curry. He went and stood in the corner, the two defenders stood next to him, and the rest of the guys played 4 on 3.

They're not paying your *** to hold one player scoreless, they're paying your *** to win the damn game. Now, in reality Loyola was going to get beat anyway, but defending 4 players with 3 for the entire game isn't even giving yourself a chance.
