We all love our teams and it hurts like hell when they lose. But let’s put things in perspective, right now there are kids the same ages as these players fighting for their lives in Ukraine. We will all wake up tomorrow in the greatest country in the world. These boys wanted to win as much as you wanted them to win and deserve nothing but support as most of them could of put any colleges uniform on that they wanted and they chose your school. I’m not saying don’t be pissed and disappointed and bash Cal but the kids should be left out of the criticis because they love Kentucky or they wouldn’t be here.
Most of your waking life you’re not giving a **** about people in Ukraine. And even if you are paying attention, are you also thinking about people in Myanmar? The army is still killing women and children over there. How about North Koreans? Are you thinking about the hell that they live through every day? I mean we can play the game that you’re playing all day long.
But the fact is most folks don’t know or genuinely give a **** about people on the other side of the world. The American way is to throw a little bit of money at people and think that they're helping.
So I get the point that you’re trying to make about keeping things in perspective. As a general rule, though, we live most of our waking lives without keeping these things in perspective. So why expect a small group of people on a message board to do what you not anyone else does most of your life? It doesn’t seem reasonable.
