We already knew the officials were stupid, the ball crossed the plane before it moved , Which means TD , you can do all your little quotes , but they called it wrong.

For some reason, unlike a running play when the ball simply breaking the plane of the goal line is a TD, for a pass reception to county as a TD you must retain possession throughout going down to the ground. That is the rule. See Calvin Johnson 2-3 years for an example of this very same play. The got the call right. Rule is dumb.

Exactly, you have to have possession when you break the plane and you don't have possession until you complete the catch, which he failed to do. I despise the Patriots, but its the rule. Its not that hard to understand.

Put the video up. (I know you have nothing better to do) show me where he doesn’t have control while crossing the plane.

Doesn’t matter if the ball crossed the goal line according to the rule. He went to the ground while making a catch so in the end zone doesn’t matter. Ball must not touch ground. Stupid yes. Correct call as per rule? Yes. If I were a Steeler fan I’d be more pissed at Ben’s 3rd down pass.

But thats not the rule. He made a football move after two feet were on the ground (diving) which makes him a runner. Read the entire rule and it’s a catch , fumble and recovery at the worst.

Same as a Dez catch. NFL’s idea of a football move is much different than us fans.

Falling forward is not a football move. Good call. Glad the correct call was made after a thorough review.

That is the rule in the NFL. You have to maintain possession when you hit the ground. The football move constituted a catch was the rule like 7 years ago. Keep in mind, in every other level of football (College on down) it was a catch. Just not in the NFL.

He maintained possession as his knee hit the ground. Possession was established at that point. He then turns to stretch the ball over the goal line at which point the play is dead and the ball touching the ground is irrelevant because the receiver is now a runner.

“In order to complete a catch, a receiver must clearly become a runner,” the new rule read in March 2015. “He does that by gaining control of the ball, touching both feet down .

This is straight from the nfl rule book .

And how nobody sees this , is beyond belief. It’s THE rule to a T. Football move broke plane , TD

One play. It was ONE play! Pittsburgh did t lose the game on one play. They also didn't lose it because of the refs.

The refs didn't leave Gronk in single coverage.

The refs didn't give up an 8 point lead in the 4th.

The refs didn't screw up the final two plays of the game that lead to an INT.

All this salt being thrown at new england is garbage.

Do you realize how slim of a margin there is in the NFL between winning and losing? They literally did lose the game on one play. Your played out narrative is ******** used to deflect from piss poor officiating.

That's not even a counter argument. You're just salty after the Steelers lost. You know everything I said is fact and it eats you up inside. The Steelers had their opportunities to win. They Didn't.

its an absolute joke the pats were only called for two penalties yesterday.

Top Gif: You're right. they missed the holding penalty.
Middle Gif: What penalty are you saying was missed? I see hands to the face by the Steelers defender at the end.
Bottom Gif: It was a touchdown. Why bother caring if the penalty would have been declined anyway.

For the record, Offensive and Defensive holding happens on EVERY play and is done by EVERY team in the NFL. The Refs aren't going to catch them all.
