You went to a Barstool Sports live podcast and heard the 17 bomb shocker of all shockers

That’s on you man. You walk into a restaurant and see Barstool is doing something there, leave if you don’t want your kids to hear some F bombs.

There was no sign saying they were here we literally walked in and he dropped it. So I guess it's on the restaurant for not saying they are shooting a live show in their door? Give me a break. Let's just change it to a political covid post..

You’re the one who took your kid into a sports bar. Even without the barstool podcast, watching sports cause people to curse and alcohol only ramps it up.

It's literally just a word, and he was probably using it for emphasis as opposed to describing the act.

It's a versatile word. I hate that some sheltered folks allow a word with no personal connection to them cause them such harm and then complain about it to others.

Studies have shown that those who use swear words - particular the f-word - on a regular basis generally have higher IQs and are more productive in the workplace.

Do you want your child to succeed in life or not?

I understand but you then came on here to complain about Brandon doing what he is paid to do.

BTW I cant imagine the value of the national exposure that Mississippi State gets because of Brandon.

Great opportunity to be a parent and talk about when and where it’s appropriate to say certain things. Or why you don’t use certain words. Your 10 year old has heard that word a lot more than you think. He’s going to hear it even more frequently in the future. You can prepare him for that or put your head in the sand. The more taboo you treat it, the more attractive it becomes to them. A lot of parents think sheltering is parenting, it’s actually the opposite.

Newsflash. Your 10 year old cusses like a sailor when you are not around. I was under 10 when I learned this pearl... from a kid at church:

Mother17ing, -------------, 2 balled, ------,
Your Mama's in the kitchen making homemade, ----,
Your Daddy's in jail,
Your brother's in Hell,
Your sister's in court for serving ------ cocktail.

My 3 year old apparently used a certain word that is a no-no with umpires on a kid at school before slapping him and biting him on the leg. He would have jumped in Brandon Walker's lap for the rest of the show.

Your experiences were more advanced than mine. The little gem I remember learning at age ten:

Peter Paul and Almond Joy went behind the Powerhouse. He stuck his Butterfinger in her Zero and she cried out, "Oh, Henry! It's a Baby Ruth!"

I know, I know. I only remember it because the teacher who heard me say it was aghast and sent me home with a note. My dad thought it was funny, and my mother clutched pearls. The teacher was probably related to Bulldawg78.

I have a feeling he’ll hear it tonight if things don’t go our way.

I also have a feeling he’ll hear it tonight if things do go our way.

If he’s going to be a state fan, he should learn it in both the negative and positive sense. He will get many miles out of both as a State fan.

I also get irritated when people drop an F bomb around my kids. But then again, I would expect it if I were anywhere close to anything Barstool. My daughter is 14 and my son is 11. Trust me - it wasn’t the first time your son has heard that word. School is worse than Barstool...

Forget the fact that it's a Barstool event. You took a child into a sports bar.
Don't take children to bars if you don't want to expose them to adult things.

That's on you, classy dad.

My oldest is not 10 years old and haven't had "the talk" yet, but when he does, I will look for to be with him in places where the 17 bomb might be dropped (not that I would intentionally put him in those situations) so that I can talk with him about the word and I would encourage him not to say it. I know he will hear it. Hopefully, I can be there to talk with him about what the Biblical understanding of what that word points towards.

I will let you handle the Biblical interpretations.... But from a practical use of the word, I refer you to the following video.

Your a dumbass. It’s a barstool sports podcast. DJs Dugout is also a sports bar. Last I checked Bars allow cursing. People with kids there should review having their kids in a bar. If they aren’t okay with what happens in a bar perhaps go somewhere more kid friendly.

I'm going to say this more nicely than some here, but the message is the same.

You took a child you clearly do not want exposed to adult words into a bar. Everything you don't like that happened next is completely on you based on that decision.

Stop downvoting the people who are telling you this in different words. They're right and you're wrong.

Yeah, that's the kinda stuff we told to each other when we weren't in the woods looking at old playboy magazines that we stole from our dads' dresser drawer.

Sounds like the rest of the posters are suggesting that you're lucky your kid wasn't dog cussed...because "your son likely cusses like a sailor".
