This thread went to shite.

We went from Clemson rightfully terminating the employment of some vile individuals to some on the left having to preface statements with "now I don't condone murder BUT..." to an argument about Larry, which Larry wasn't even apart of for most of it. And we also even had Larry throw in a Jan 6th reference for ***** and giggles because he couldn't help himself.

America in a nutshell in this thread.

I see. One moment, you celebrate an assassination. Then, when you reap the consequences of your actions, you grandstand with “all we are saying is give peace a chance.”

That’s a quality educator right there…worth every tuition penny.
Bingo. Lots of TI'ers had pvssy parents that didn't spank them and it's obvious who is who. Having freedom of speech does not give you immunity from consequences.

These firings are not cancel culture, they are a dose of accountability.

should have nominated a disgraced sex abuser with 40+ felonies on his ledger who tried to subvert our free and fair election and almost got his own VP killed. maybe next time they'll wise up.
Instead you nominated a candidate that got crushed by a “disgraced sex abuser with 40+ felonies” - also known as the worst candidate in US political history. That’s what you get when you play identity politics.

Good luck with that. She's the center ring of the goofball circus.

She had a town hall in Rock Hill a few weeks ago and she couldn't go two sentences without saying "lunatic left" "radical leftists" and "tranny." Like one of those kids toys where you pull the string and it talks.
But she could actually speak in sentences, correct? And you could understand what she was saying??

Posting this statement because it's been discussed here.

We will of course move this over to the House Of Politics board shortly.

This is such ******** caving. My first thought was to withdraw all non-athletic financial support from the school. My second thought is that all social media should immediately cease to exist. If there were a ledger then I’m sure that humanity’s scales would be tilted to the negative because of it, greatly outweighing any positive.
While it is a pittance to Clemson my money isn’t a pittance to me.
I’m not making such a hasty decision now but I feel a suspension without pay would be more appropriate punishment for posting without couth as opposed to totally ruining a life. And might still be a learning experience as to when to keep a thought to oneself.

I have to agree here. She’s a train wreck

Her point was loud and clear. You’d think the Republican Party could find better candidates, especially in these races that aren’t highly contested.

I’d be surprised if she gets out of the primary. Hopefully voters can see past the ridiculousness. You can still have your ultra-conservative leadership without being a circus. McMaster’s a pretty good example of that.

Says he keeps his political opinions to himself and ends his speech getting political and taking a shot at the right.
I’m not really sure how supporting the firings of these professors is taking a shot at the right. This seems like the “if you’re not 100% with me you are against me” attitude that created all this political violence in the first place. It’s long past time both sides take ownership of the problem and tone it down.

Do not be absurd and say my post calling you out for saying one thing and doing another seems like the attitude that created all the political violence! How dare you.

One side promotes all the hate rhetoric, glorifies assassinations, and uses violence and burns down cities when they disagree! And we all know what side that is!

“This isn’t cancel culture. This is self defense! A nation that empowers the deranged and depraved is a nation marching toward ruin. If you celebrate the assassination of a political opponent, you are unfit for any role of trust. Not with children. Not in healthcare. Not in government. Not anywhere!”

I saw this posted. I didn’t write it but truer words were never spoken.
I've posted here repeatedly my opinion that it is both ghoulish and in exceedingly poor taste to celebrate the death of someone who has just been assassinated, regardless of his or her political affiliation or viewpoint. Kirk's murder was unarguably criminal and tragic.

But an entirely separate issue is what he said and did while he was alive, and what his legacy will be going forward. Conservatives are certainly free to lionize him, but they cannot reasonably expect that liberals will join them in that.

At times it may be difficult to distinguish between between critiquing/criticizing Kirk's lifetime statements and actions, on the one hand, and celebrating his death, on the other. Merely quoting him seems to me to be fair criticism. On the other end of spectrum, videos of people laughing or saying "I'm glad he's dead." clearly seem like celebration to me, and I understand why a conservative might feel provoked.

the modern Republican party in two tweets. Keep in mind that this botoxed lunatic is one of Trump's "advisors" now and has been rumored to be his mistress on some level as well.
