There is no plan B I mean they are looking at assistant coaches with ZERO HEAD COACHING EXPERIENCE , I think people are tired of the cheap show and waiting for a coach to develop into a Head coach before he can learn to develop players . Recruiting is easy but if you can’t develop players then forget it , your waisting time and money On a coach who still learning the ropes via Chris Ash

How do you know who they're looking at? Butch Jones doesn't have head coaching experience?

Is it worth noting that GS himself had zero head coaching experience when he came to Rutgers?

Lincoln Riley = zero head coaching experience before hired to be Oklahoma head coach.
Dabo = zero head coaching experience before hired to be Clemson head coach.

Chip Kelly = lot of head coaching experience. How is it going for him?

There is no magic formula.

honestly, why would anyone on a HS staff take sides--seems kind of unprofessional to me--as a private citizen yes--he can not act like his opinion is that of that whole program

I would imagine this organization has had plenty to say about Rutgers football for many years. The fact so many coaches steer their kids elsewhere is pretty obvious.
I doubt this statement would have been posted without a concensus of the HS coaches not feeling this way.

youo guys are too funny. You hated Izenberg and now love him. You hated the NJ hs coaches and now nut lick a ridiculous moronic letter that has zero impact. Greg was second rate, great outreach guy but we need a coach and not a guy with a 500 career record who couldn't win anywhere he was was at.

This is my statement as Commissioner of the NJFCA and it is ON the record.

I believe It is unfortunate and unacceptable that we have reached this point with regards to future of RU Football. We are a Big 10 football program with administrative leadership that is not operating commensurately.

How you can proceed this far into negotiations with Greg Schiano, obviously knowing there was a possibility that you would not capitulate to all the requirements he felt necessary to re-build and successfully run a Big 10 football program, without having a plan B & C demonstrates an alarming lack of competence on many levels.

We are weeks away from early signing day, with a frustrated fan base, a current roster of players contemplating transferring, future prospects losing confidence & prominent donors publicly announcing the termination of their future financial support.

The fact these events could not be forecasted by the RU administrative leadership makes it abundantly evident they unfortunately lack the depth, foresight and understanding that is required to lead a decision making processes of this magnitude.

At this point I believe the only option is for someone in a position of authority to ask Coach Schiano back to the negotiating table and complete the deal they initiated. There literally is no other choice as a result of their lack of effective planning. Hopefully someone in a position of leadership at RU will quickly come to this realization while the situation can still be rectified.

Excellent letter that puts to bed the chance that another coordinator with no head coaching experience will ever be successful here. NJ coaches may be territorial but they ain't stupid. It is also painfully clear how Hobbs and the BOG screwed this up.

“One thing I would make clear is, at the end of the day, we always have and always will, and I always have and always will, support Rutgers football. We are always going to support Rutgers," Jacob said. "No matter who the coach is, we are going to support them. It’s just I feel the way a lot of other people feel in that the situation backed itself into a corner. ---well guys he felt the need to make this statement above -can you guys do the same
