Zebras definitely stole 3 yards from us on our 3rd drive. First play draw for 3. Second play incomplete. 5 Yard penalty on LSU and then we have a 3rd and 5. should have been 3rd and 2. Kylin gets 3 on 3rd down, should have been first down.
Interesting.
At the beginning of that possession, the original line of scrimmage was the 14-yard line.
On first down, we handed off to Kylin for a 3-yard gain. 2nd and 7 from the 17-yard line.
On second down, we attempted a pass that was batted down (and, almost intercepted) by #92 for LSU.
On that play, it appears the batted ball was actually caught by Kwatrivous Johnson (#69 for us) as he tumbled to the ground at the 14-yard line, because he is listed in the stat sheet as having one reception for -3 yards.
Thus, the refs spotted the ball at the 14-yard line, 3rd and 10.
Next play, LSU was offsides . . . thus, it's now 3rd and 5 from the 19-yard line.
Then, we ran Kylin for 3 yards, 4th and 2 from the 22-yard line.
Therefore, I think the refs got that series of plays right.
