Omaha is such a coin-flip to me. You can't even tell who is hot until they play a game up there. Some teams are hot at end of year, some in regionals/supers, then Omaha is a different deal. Some are hot all the way through. I remember thinking that Carolina 2011, Arizona 2012, UCLA 2013 and Vanderbilt 2014 were going to be very difficult to beat. Maybe it had something to do with the bats/balls and pitching being so over-dominant because of that in the big park. Then the flukes of Virginia 2015 and Coastal 2016. Then there are examples like when Florida seemingly stumbled through 2017. And then Oregon State/Vanderbilt were simply uber talented in 2018/2019. It's almost followed the trend of what was happening with bats/balls - pitching/defense only at first, then chaos, now offense is coming of age.

I really do like our chances, and have for a while.
