The experience at CAL was first rate. Later got an inquiry from NU asking how these events should be conducted and I told them the CAL experience should be the model. They made an honest effort to serve some decent food, the service was spread out so the lines disappeared before you could get impatient, wine and beer, sunshine, addresses from Big Morty and Big JP, film on a giant screen of NU's glories, cheerleaders... missing a Chicago Blues Band and soul sausages, but otherwise complete. I encourage everybody to go to this event and encourage the people who are doing the planning.
Season openers are always big, but this one is huge for NU. Stanford knows that and will be prepared. All the competition you could ever want to open the CFB season. Get to the game and get to the pre-game fiesta.
