is there anyone out there with enough time and interest and expertise to go back over the course of CB's time here in Chapel Hill and look at every game we have lost by 5 points or less. Then, for each game, analyze the plays, FTs, baskets, turnovers etc. completed in the final 2 minutes of the game. The hard part would be knowing understanding and remembering the personnel situation etc for that game.

Flip side might be: how many games have we won by 5 points or less under CB. And do the same analysis.

I'm inclined to think CB has hit her ceiling here in Chapel Hill, but hey, somebody needs to crunch the numbers to see if she's getting a fair shake (as they do in MLB). I'd love to be able to do it, I don't have those skills.

I thought against Stanford, her coaching was good until the last three minutes. She was going inside to Toomey and Nyla Harris. Stanford did not have answer for them. Then with three minutes left to go in the game, she decided to take NH out and put another guard in. This was a gamble IMO on her part. Do I go with rebounding or shooting. She chose shooting knowing that Toomey was going to be the only true big in the game to get rebounds against the 3 big's that Stanford had at that time. That was when Stanford got 2 to 3 rebounds on the offensive end on three straight possessions. A smart coach would have called a timeout after the first episode and got NH back in the game. The coach at Stanford saw what was going on and she decided to get the ball inside where they had the advantage. NH Ft's percentage is at 70%. That is not bad since she is one of our better FT shooters. I would have left NH in the game.

Sure turned out to be a poor choice. It gave Stanford an advantage late in the game.

Personally I would have liked to have tried to get our best 3pt shooters some good looks throughout the game.

Trading 2's against 3's makes it tough to win also.

Maybe play Aarnisalo, Grant and Hull some and try to get some open looks for 3's like we have done most of the season.

The last 5 minutes of the game with the score close we needed to not go small giving them and advantage.

We had not shot 3's basically the entire second half and had a small lead at that time we had to go with what we were locked in on.
