Said the same thing.

At the under 12 mark would have been perfect time to sub Collins/Reeves and keep the pressure and pace on them. And those guys gave good minutes first half....no reason to not go back to them.

Instead he is giogn to play Wheeler, Wallace, Oscar, Toppin and maybe sub out Livingtston the rest of way

Always turns out to be a nerve wracking sweat to the finish because of this nonsense! Every possession for the last 4 minutes resulted in someone with the ball in their hands 35 feet from the basket with 5 seconds on the shot clock and the crowd getting anxious af. When does Cal realize this is the worst thing we could possibly be doing?

Already backing off and slowing it down. This is what loses UK games under Calipari. Keep pushing the pace, wear LSU out.
Stall ball costed us an undefeated season in 2015, when Calipari started his stall ball with only a 4 point lead & 4 minutes left in the Wisconsin game which resulted in 3 straight shot clock or near shot clock violations. It costed North Carolina the 1977 national championship game. Yet Cal continues to do it.

You can't play fast with Wheeler at the point. And you can't play sets with Wheeler at the point. Playing slower is lessor of the two if you're going to play Wheeler.

Cal is going to play Wheeler. So limiting his opportunities for turnovers is best.

I say best is not playing Wheeler at all.

Maybe let's play medium pace with Wheeler.

Don't fly through the lane randomly, but also don't hold the ball until there are seven seconds left in the shot clock. Just play like you did for the first 3/4 of the game!
