We know he attended a diploma mill school at UNC and attended fake classes while there. I take the word attended loosely. No one actually attended the fake classes. They just received A's for signing up.

Should be interesting, but I'm not willing to say it will be a disaster because he's never coached in college.

He's been playing for 40 years and under some phenomenal coaches. He has coached in the g league and was successful. Can he recruit? What assistants does he hire?

Pretty excited to hear about his plans, staff, recruiting and ultimately coaching.

I think he was a D league head coach for 1 year, he was successful, but then didn't he go right back to the NBA as an assistant? NBA players and coaches have rarely made for good college coaches. In his first try he's going to a school in a rapidly improving P5 conference. This could work out fine but I'll be shocked.

Fair enough. None of us have a crystal ball, so it's hard to know.

I'm optimistic.

I think he succeeds.

He's played every role. He's been the hot young star in waiting. He's been the All-star 30 ppg guy. He was a role player for years. He'll be able to connect with every player on the team and understand their mindset.

Having played in the NBA--he can sell nowing what it takes to succeed.

Honestly, if he has major success there, he'll move up quickly. As a UNC guy, if Roy looks to retire, Stackhouse could eye that one day.
