I don't think you have perspective when it comes to understanding what it takes to take a program from probation (1991) to #1 in the country in two short years (1993).

Citing one title as some type of gauge of equal measurement, while ignoring the greatest rebuild project in NCAA history, is precisely the type of argument that shows you lack perspective in this regard.

Oh. So now you're just comparing their time at Kentucky? Try this one. Pitino technically has one final four at Providence, one at Louisville, and three at Kentucky. Calipari, by contrast, only technically has four. But you already knew that and now you were deciding to change the argument. So are you comparing their time at Kentucky? St. Johns is 25th in Kenpom and playing well. They should have a puncher's chance against UConn.

They could be a sneaky high seed if they win or lose against UConn. Obviously a victory could bump them up, but given their loss total, their seed will underate their strength.

I truly don't hold a grudge against him going to Louisville. It was Michigan and maybe UNLV or some other job vs the Louisville job. Any coach in their right mind would take Louisville. All of our coaches here had winning records vs Louisville too. I know Gillipsi sp? beat Rick at Rupp but he never won as UKs coach I don't think.
