From what someone told me on FB, he got UTIs frequently. Was complaining last night about pain, went to sleep and never woke up. This person speculated he might have went septic during the night.

In the thread for last week's Magazine, PGB commented that he really loved the take on Joe Lee Dunn "blitzing the hell out of St. Peter." Now, not even a full week later, I can imagine Shaun is doing a little blitzing on his own.

He had really had some tough times with his pain before but the last few weeks it had been really bad. It's quite possible he was in a lot worse shape than anybody knew lately. He didn't talk about it with many people. I'm not going to speculate but I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the stress of everything physically was too much.
