This is only my opinion. I just want to share what I saw. If you went, and don’t agree fine. These are my Takes.
Minchey looked rattled. Missed Two wide open guys for potential TDs. He doesn’t appear to be a significant upgrade. Looked about like Boley. Maybe a little better.
RBs were out. Patterson looked a little slow to the hole.
WR looked to be upgraded. Jean looked good, I saw a back shoulder throw for the first time in forever at UK.
D line I thought looked good.
OLine better than last year.
Both me and my son agreed they looked moderately better than last spring. ( Just Drills). Still some confusion of who was supposed to be on the field but a new system will do that.
UK could have won 7 last year with any luck. That’s about what I would say this team wins with luck, 8.
JMO.

Rattled? He looked like someone throwing to 4th string guys, because that's what they were. So the reads were right, some throws were just a hair off.

I was actually very encouraged by what i saw from him. Elite understanding of the position. Extremely quick. Great pocket presence. Short, but it is what it is.

Hopefully he performs as well when the hits are live.

What’s your win projection? If you wanna share that?? Me and my son have gone most every year since he was about 6. He’s 30 now. I’m not a knowledgeable coach, but it’s easy to see a better team. Levis and Wandale we were excited. One Terry year. ( when he got hurt) Woodsons last 2 seasons. This team didn’t show that kind of togetherness.

I gonna guess and it’s only a guess, 7. Could be six or 8 but I think that would be a great start for him.

Same here. Stein got a late start and HS recruiting was almost non existent Stoops last cycle. He has some QBs on the roster with a lot of potential. Im cautiously optimistic.
Im still optimistic Pope can turn it around so I’m in the minority probably.

Just glad to see the cornerbacks not play 10 yards off the wide receivers

I don't know what to make of Minchey yet but then again it was just simple playcalling and he was without his top WRs. TE looked good. DLine looked good. Grant Godfrey stuck out as a guy on defense who was making plays

Like last year, if we win 6 it will be an amazing season. Like last season, our schedule is insanely tough.

Imo you cant judge modern teams' togetherness standards against the past. Nowadays its mostly a new team every year. Especially in spring, they will not be gelled at all.

I will say the offensive operation looked way better, which was expected. Bush was just awful. I think it was ole miss where we had four or five occasions of not being able to get lined up correctly. Just embarrassing.
