I haven’t been to a spring game since 1983, but one of my sons wants to go and so I need some information. Is there a specific spot/time to get autographs?? Show up early like a typical game day??

Any additional information is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Don't forget about the Zoo, state capitol building, Morrill Hall, check out the spot where Rosenblatt used to be...

Very laid back atmosphere. 2nd half the clock runs and fans begin to leave. Enjoy the day have a beer before and after and enjoy the warm weather and the day.

It's going to be in the 50s at game time, I'm not sure I'd call that warm weather. But at least it won't be as cold as yesterday.

Make sure to jump online right after the game to give us your insights and which players/coaches need to improve before fall camp begins. Winking

Agreed. All the fun is before hand tailgating or downtown at the bars. Then the pre “game” theatrics in the stadium. The first half is then mildly interesting, and goes downhill after that. Still… if I were in town I would go.

If it was not a decent revenue generator and if Husker fans would not freak the **** out, I have a feeling that it would be getting really close to not even being held.

The AD probably hauls in like a million dollars and Lincoln gets an econ-boost.

The spring game should never go away… A lot of fun for those that can’t make a regular season game and Nebraska fans have always attend it well because how much the fan base loves football in this state..

It’s just not what it was at one time…

Yeah, I couldn’t see it going away either, not even close. I’m not sure how someone would come to that conclusion. The fan base, for the most part, is still rabid. It’s a taste of football Saturday atmosphere in April. A reason to drink. Also a good opportunity for people to take their kiddos. Now, if the price of tickets wasn’t so cheap, then I could see it dwindle a bit, depending on cost.

You mean, other than the fact that it is popular, fun, and successful, it would probably go away? Were you born an *******, or did you grow into it?

I love it and always go.

I am just saying I can see how/why it could go away. I don't want it to but it could happen. ****, in the last 10 years it has been canceled twice. And it is getting less and less like a "game"

The spring game is still a great recruiting opportunity. Look at the list of players visiting tomorrow.
