Spring Game attendance?

What do you think?

Personally, I think we are going to be low this year... lowest in awhile. Do not think concert will bring in many, overcast weather, lack of talent in game will be disappointing.

I think actual attendance will be about 6,500. I also think numbers will be inflated due to the fact that people claimed tickets online and they will probably use those numbers, not a gate count.

I'll say 8k actual, 12k announced. You know damn well they'll inflate the numbers.

it will be announced as far more than are there, they will include the concert goers as well who bolt

light rain right now and its raw in the 50s, not a great day for tailgating or sitting on wet aluminum

spring game turnout is always weather related, game itself is a borefest so you need great warm spring weather to turn people out

While not exactly a high bar to clear, at least we can say we will have more fans than BC at their Spring Game. Can't post pics but maybe someone here can from Twitter.

MDs attendance was awful along with the weather but somehow they managed a pretty exciting 40-35 game despite the rain.

It's a raw day and weather worse than forecast. But Kudos to RU. If warm day concert would have been fun. Big & Rich pretty good and better than I thought.

Next year get Southside! If this was a test acoustics better than normal RU game and the RAC!

Dammit, I advised Hobbs to move the spring game to Yankee Stadium as part of a Yankee doubleheader after the Oriole game on the 29th
We could have bragged about having over 50,000 show up for the game.
All I can say after seeing Hobbs ignore my great advise is:

Get Southside Johnny because you know we'll get 5,000 people who show up just in the hopes that Bruce shows up.

per someone at RU that I spoke to today, 12,000 tickets were claimed. Actual attendance was not more than 5,000 people by my estimates. The yellow lot was pretty full with cars, the Blue lot had about 7-8 rows of cars. But the rain really put a damper on things.

The Big & Rich concert was great despite the rain. Rutgers really should do more things like that. Hobbs was in the crowd on the field mingling with everyone and taking photos with anyone who asked.

Its all relative, if RU were perrenial national championship contenders, we would have high numbers as well.

That's kind of a weird post. In the past I was one of those guys as I would take my son around and meet current RU stars who some became NFL stars. And because of that, RU has a nice little corner of signed memoribilia in the mancave. My son is a teen now and still enjoys meeting the players and getting autographs. Some people like to collect autographs for pleasure and/or profit. To each his own.
