While I'd love a win here, I would not bet on it. Vegas set a spread to balance bet amounts.. why is the money coming in on Rutgers to flip the small spread? No bye week leading into this one... injuries still an issue.

Moral of the story- Fan Duel is horrible at putting out opening lines. It opened as a pickem in Vegas, bettors fixed the line for them.
Illinois entry into the top 25 was on the back on a win vs Kansas and one vs Nebraska both who were ranked in preseason polls based ln hype. As the season progressed they proved to be highly over rated

Illinois has a weak offensive line. If we commit to bringing the pressure like against maryland, defense should have a good game. They have a very good WR in Bryant but a healthy Longerbeam should be able to do well against him
Illinois lost to Minny recently while we obviously beat them. But this one can go either way. Nice to have the opportunity to beat a top 25 team that is basically equal to us.

I tried to search for the last time Rutgers was a point spread favorite against a ranked team and I got Dec 6, 2009 favored by 1 at home vs West Virginia. I could be wrong.
Illinois beat Nebraska at Memorial Stadium.
So who beat who or lost to whom doesn't have any bearing on the game. its a Home game for us which is a must win.

Yes fair point. Kansas has come alive after a mid season swoon. That said and IMHO BYU has benefitted from having been 9 - 0 off a relatively easy schecule
