Blazers start a tough stretch starting with Lee on Friday at Spotswood. Lee in my opinion are much improved from last years team and will play well if they can take care of the ball in the second half. Going to be a better game than most think. On Saturday they travel to Petersburg and will have to bring it to them early or they will be in big trouble. I know they are not ranked but what most people in the valley don't understand is teams they play day in and day out are much more athletic than what they see in the valley. So Petersburg is gonna be a tall task for Blazers I think. Next 5 games after Lee are on the road. Harrisonburg, Broadway, Altavista and Turner Ashby. Then A tough Fort Defiance team at home. The Blazers are not deep and that worries me about this team. But I do think they play more together this year. They are led by 5'7 Sr. point Khalil Davis who gets up the floor. 6'2 Jr to Justin Kier who is a game changer and a mid major player right now in my opinion and is getting better each game. This kid can flat out play. 6'3 Sr. Kevin Saylor will surprise a lot of people that has never seen him play. This kid can get off the floor and worked hard on his shot. 5'11 Jr. Malik Davis is the defender and probably leads them in steals. 6'1 Soph. Irvine is a solid shooter. Coming off the bench is 6'2 jr. Kobe Davis, 6'1 jr. J. Morris, 5'8 soph. A. Hunter and 6'5 Jr. Conklin. Good luck to all.

Petersburg and Altavista will be competitive games... Spotswood as too much athleticism to be bothered by the other teams. IMO!

Your ignorance glows. Only a person with 8 posts would say that. Petersburg and Altavista will have plenty of athleticism. Spotswood may indeed win, but it will not be from "more" athleticism.

Blazers are not going to wuh you with a lot of athleticism. Once they start subbing it falls off a good bit. I just hope the bench gets better come tourney time and I think they will.

Altavista is going to be a tough game almost anyone in any class this year. Very athletic and very well coached. This group of kids have won the last two VHSL Class A football and basketball championships.

Yes gonna be a helluva game. Blazers are gonna have to play their best in order to beat this group of kids that knows how to win championships. IAs I said before in an earlier post this is going to be a hard game to pull off.

So I suppose 175 post makes you a genius when it comes to basketball insight. Regardless of how many times I post, my opinion is my opinion. By paying attention to my statement, Spotswood has the talent and athleticism to go on the road and play against traditionally good teams in a tough environment and be successful. That is no slap in the face to any other team, get out of your feelings, its not that serious. Again its my opinion.... (??REALLY??) Spotswood did take care of business against Petersburg, FYI my home team is from the Richmond area, so I have no dog in the fight of D3/D4.....
