Tough night for the Leemen and an impressive night for the Blazers. Spotswood's Justin Kier is a George Mason commit and he scored 32 points and is a fun player to watch play. Coach Edwards has his usual 3A powerhouse at the Wood this season Lee's Darius George got in foul trouble and Lee's bench(Hatcher) got two technical fouls that really kind of summed up the night for Lee. It was a bad night but not a product of what Lee will be this season. I think they will do just fine. It's early and Lee is still developing a supporting cast around George. Lee made several rallies and got within striking distance but...faded once George went to the bench and after the technical fouls. George ended with 5 points for Lee. Jaheel Pettiford was a bright spot for Lee hitting 4 threes and scoring 12 points. So...some others are stepping up.

Take nothing away from Spotswood though....a very impressive team! Lee 3-1 is back in action at rival Waynesboro on Tuesday night in another big game. A chance to forget Spotswood and go after the arch rival Giants.

Have you seen the list of 3A schools now? Sportswood is certainly gonna be good in Conference (Western is solid as well). They will be solid in 3A west .. but a contender is probably not in the crystal ball when it comes to facing the teams in 3A East

Hey ??Really??....how do you seeing it stacking up in 3A? I know this is a 2A board but...just wondering on your teams to watch? Western Albemarle does seem like a solid team. Waynesboro will be in the mix at least early on come tourney time. In 2A I still think Lee will make a deep run this season, Martinsville is by far the favorite as this point I would think. George Mason appears to be solid as well.

Northside, Cave Spring, Spotswood, and Western in 3A West. 3A east I would guess is Wythe, Norcom, and John Marshall.
