No. Most years, fewer than 10% of people catch the flu.

We can do much better than that with covid 19 if we play our cards right.

But, 12,000 in the US have died this flu season, and that is with vaccine. So if that many people die in the US, with vaccines, and the best hospital care in the world, how many 3rd world victims have there been? But, you don't see the WHO calling it a pandemic. I understand the reason for concern, but there is no reason for hysteria, either.
