how much will it change your view on Rick Ray? RealtimeRPI has UGA #27 right now. BTW, they have MSU #147.

I think it's a big game for Ray to take the fan base off the ledge.

It'd be a huge boost for Ray and the team. There will be a decent crowd and who knows if there will another if we lay an egg. I'm pulling for ray and hope he does enough this year to prove he's the man for the job

It would be a huge win, There's no other team in the SEC other than UK that we can't beat on any given night, I honestly believe that. The SEC in basketball is like the Big 10 in football but worse.

It wouldn't change my opinion of him. It would only be his 3rd win in conference this season. He's done at least that his previous two years. I need to see more improvement.

I have backed off from saying firing him right now to let's review at the end of the season.

Always been my opinion that coaches at this level all know the X's and O's of coaching. It is the execution of those X's and O's at this level that is most important.

Won't change my opinion until I see we can go through a season without an 8-10 game losing streak.

Exactly. The game isn't rocket science. They all know how to game plan. The good ones get their guys to buy in.

Case in point, Duke went to a 2-3 zone against Louisivlle last Saturday and you would have thought K had come up with a cure for the common cold based on Vitale's reaction. Duke doesn't play much zone but they had been struggling keeping guards out of the lane. Louisville's guards attack because they can't throw it in the ocean so it made perfect sense to sit back in the zone and rebound the misses. Maybe that makes him a great X and O coach in some people's eyes (definately Dickie V's), but it was a pretty basic move that a lot of coaches would make.

Some of you are the most fickled fans ever...after GA beats the **** out of us

you all will be back on here asking for his head. Rick Ray needs to be fired that's the bottom line. He seems to be a nice person but can't recruit worth a damn and that is his Achilles Heel.

If you call this guy not being to recruit worth a damn, or don't realize that Ray's recruiting is steadily getting better, then you don't have a clue what you're talking about. There are plenty of areas for which Ray should be criticized for not showing improvement, but recruiting isn't one of them.

Unless this theoretical assistant can make our guys become better at throwing the ball into the basket, his X's and his O's aren't going to mean ****.

This one game won't make a difference to me. If we finish with about 7 to 9 sec wins I would then change my mind. Every year he has had a few stretches where he looks good. I feel we are probably in that stretch right now.

I hope Strickland does his homework though. Cause id rather not fire Ray than fire him and get Ray 2.0. If we can't hire a proven winner or top assistant. I don't wanna change. I expect Strickland to have a better gauge of that this time around.

Except that we had 2 SEC teams in the Final 4 last year, 3 in the

Sweet 16 and almost 3 in the elite 8. Also, Kentucky was in the national championship game and didn't the Big 10 just win the National Championship in football?

Every day that passes where a professional hired by Keenum is not actively searching for the replacement is a day farther behind this shitfest of a program falls.

I know you've stated numerous times you don't think SS should handle the hire but you're kidding yourself if you think he's not going to. If there is s coaching change he will and should make the hire.

I fully expect his name to be attached to the hire and I fully expect his narrow *** to emcee the press conf announcement. I expect a pro to handle the hard part.

Not sure what happened in the last 24 hours, but we are now 198 on Realtime. Yet we have double up arrows by our name after dropping 50 spots.
