spiking rule?

is it still a foul to spike the football? seems i've seen many times where it could be called
(both against iowa as well as for the opposition) asking for a friend.

Yep. This is one of those things where they let it go, let it go, and then suddenly there will be a crackdown. Same with taunting. Lots of players talking and motioning to the crowd.

I remember when Wadley got flagged for doing a little modest high stepping.

Wiped away the touchdown.

Haven't seen that called before or since. Just a wild flag to throw with all the celebrating they allow.

Spiking and dunking on the FG seem like things they might flag. Otherwise, I see a lot of touchdown dancing that I thought wasn't allowed, but who knows. They just make up those rules as they go.
