Would we be interested in him? Just read where he's transferring from Michigan.

True, just saw where he could play immediately as a graduate transfer. Don't know what he averaged but the kid isn't a bad player.

If I had to guess, he'll end up in Indiana, following the path of the 5th-year Michigan senior from last year, and replacing the designated shooter Zeisloft.

Actually that probably wouldn't be a bad spot for him. The kid is from Indiana, and with Yogi and Zeisloft both graduating, they likely have a need for a backcourt shooter who can play the point like him.

Well, , according to this link, Michigan won't let him go to IU or any other Big 10 school. Guess they learned their lesson from the Bielfeldt transfer coming back to bite them last year.

Personally, I think it's total BS that schools are allowed to retain this power over kids that've already graduated. Once a kid earns his degree, he should not need a release, the prior school should have no control over what a graduated kid decides to do next.

Disagree. It works both ways. A school develops a player, he earns a degree there, and then uses a loophole to go to one of their direct competitors and plays right away? Not saying it is the player's fault, but it's such a gray area rule that the school allows, I'm okay with schools being able to limit the choices to certain rivals or conference foes. Now, some of these bad situations where the school that is losing the player has a huge list of no-nos is BS IMO.

Was his scholarship for 4 years? No.

Was his scholarship guaranteed for renewal if he stayed in good academic standing? No.

That being the case, as far as I'm concerned the school should have jack sh** to say about what he does after he graduates.

I don't disagree with your thought.

However, here's the facts.

The NCAA rule to allow graduate players to go anywhere is stupid.
The NCAA rule to allow schools to limits a player's options to go anywhere is stupid.

If they correct both "stupids", all makes sense.

But it's the NCAA...haha.

We need a knock down shooter. Monk and Fox are very streaky, Brickscoe needs no explanation. Willis is the only real dependable outside shooter on the roster.

I imagine Pitino will be fighting Clappy for him.

Fooled me, I thought he graduated like two years ago. I remember hearing his name a while back making some crazy big shots... and haven't heard of him since.

If we are gonna add a grad transfer we need to take a look at avery woodson out of memphis. Kid is a good shooter and you can never have enough shooting in my opinion

He missed nearly all of last season with injury (which is why he's getting a medical RS year), and has dealt with all sorts of injuries and multiple surgeries in his career. BUT, during the times he is healthy he's also always been a pretty damn good little player (at least offensively).

If he could stay healthy for a whole season, he's the kind of player I could see making a difference for someone as an experienced and tested 5th year senior with outstanding shooting and ballhandling skills--that's a niche a lot of today's young inexperienced teams dearly need filled these days. But only if he finds the right spot and can stay healthy.
