Thought I saw Kenny Payne jogging around Hamburg last Sunday. Is he gone for sure?

Iaj Sacul is a Siberian coach with a lot of pull in Western Europe. If Jai doesn't take it I read he is next best bet.

The posting went up on Thursday morning and I believe it has to be up 3 days to make it official. I read an article that said when Jai Lucas mentioned that he didn't like how it was leaked out while practicing with the team. The writer of the article said that it must be true and that Jai Lucas would probably take it if he hasn't already accepted the position because Lucas even being upset didn't deny it and he hasn't said anything about staying at Texas. The Writer of the article was saying that they were waiting for the formalities and the Posting to be there for 3 days. He said he looked for Jai Lucas to be announced this mid-week Wednesday or Thursday. Lets hope we get Jai Lucas and we also hear about Olivier Sarr's Approved Transfer Waiver all in the same day. That would make for a great day and week!

Definitely = Jai Lucas! I find it funny they have to post these assistant jobs for a certain period of time before they can actually name the assistant. Can you imagine all the bafoons that apply for the position in the mean time?

They start talking about Lucas around the 20.27 minute mark if anyone wants to listen

So.....the UK job is a "not on the bench/not on the road" position. So, on the one hand, a lot more money and you get to put UK assistant to John Calipari on your resume. On the other hand, not being on the bench and not being able to travel....that's a step backwards for a guy who clearly wants to be a head coach some day. Add that twist to the reports out there that Jai wasn't thrilled about this "news" breaking while he was coaching a practice.....and I'm not going to believe he's coming until he's here.

It’s Kentucky and Calipari-no matter the position, you get to put this on your resume! Just being a part of and seeing it played out at this level will benefit the resume because it’s Kentucky and Calipari man!!!
