Some of these young men, could use his faith based guidance. Things will get very tough for these players.

There are no gods! Your political party is spineless, ineffectual and fundamentally the same as the other party. When it's time for a raise they all line up together to suckle on that money teat. Losing football games is not tough. Being given a full ride to go to a major university and play football, while being pampered with the best coaching staff in the nation and some of the nicest facilities in terms of player development is not tough. Ron Brown's faith and conviction would be better served at almost any other place where life is tougher. He is merely a coach, so he tries to coach.
So we get waxed and the first thing that comes to the OP’s mind is Ron Brown? What a stupid time to be alive.
So if/when you went to college did every student know your name or face? Did the enjoyment of a university, or a state rest on your shoulders? Did every student judge your performance?
Your argument is pure ****, and most people even in their adult lives do not have the pressure and expectations placed on these kids. And yes they are kids.
Most of us would piss our pants in front of 100,000 people on national TV. Pampered or not, what is expected of an NU football player is tough.
I'm not a religious person, but in tough times a man like Ron Brown brings a mature presence, and regardless of whether you agree with his message, faith is a good thing. Faith in team, leadership, diety, yourself can help people stay positive in difficult times.

It has more to do with trolling on the fact that two Ron Brown threads have been locked this weekend.
Lets just say based on your trolling attempt, he is twice the man you could ever hope to be and leave it at that. Great man, great coach, great hire. Wish there were more men in America like him today, our country would not be in the mess we are in.
