If Mitchell will realize what they can do and they pull together and play all out we may see the team that was so highly touted earlier in the year. I have a feeling we will. Mitchell by 35.

Don't know much if anything about South Davidson and some 4-6 teams are better than other 4-6 teams but it looks like their 4 wins came off of two 1 win teams a winless team and a 2 win team.
I hope to see a Mitchell team who played like they did against Avery they seemed together and played a complete game didn't wait until the second half like against some other teams with .500 or less records plus they looked healthier than they have since the second game.
Like you say if they will realize what they can do like nearly beating the #3 in the 4A west with a starting DB and QB on the sideline that team can play with anyone.

SD has a new coach and they will play hard. This is a game of like teams running the ball to setup the pass. Mitchell even with difficulties has too much for the upstart Wildcats. Mitchell wins 42-14.
Just noticed this was the first opponent in last year's playoffs.
Well looks like SD has improved since last year outside of winning 3 more games.
Last year Thomasville beat them 63-0 this year 26-8 it was 14-8 @ halftime. But at the same time they lost to the only team that they beat last year 2-8 Lexington who lost to Tville 44-12.
Looks like just going by the scores in their games that they play better defense than offense only averaging around 13 points per game.

I will say this to this years bunch think of all who have came before you and gave it their all, Slagle, Barnette Burnette Young, Hoyle Burleson Atkins Pittman the list goes on and on, stop worrying about individual achievements my kid had 980 yds and 6 tds his senior year and didn't complain he just wanted to win period, you guys must be selfless and become a team quick or you'll be practicing basketball early become brothers overnight thank Girrusso for coming to help instead of high hatting him, dont do it for yourself, your parents, girlfriend, not even the county, do it for the mountaineer statue in memorial stadium representing all who have came and gone before you think of last years seniors and for Gods sakes act like you've been there, cause you have GO MOUNTAINEERS BRING IT BACK
Thomasville played that game and several others with multiple starters out and won that game with JV 9th graders filling key roles. SD is much improved, but still has nothing for Mitchell.

Well while I'll agree they still need to be better on the pass after the first SD TD the second was kinda lucky once he caught the pass the way everyone was bunched up once he caught it there wasn't anyone left to catch him. The last was was aided by a questionable PI call and playing some 10th graders.
I honestly dont see this team playing past next week I told folks years ago holding your kid back will win you a middle school championship but not necessarily a high school one we are average and zero intensity
Well I'm not sure if they'll get by Draughn or not but if Mitchell comes and plays like they can and the way they have since the Mtn Heritage second half plus cut down on mistakes I'd be shocked if isn't a much different looking and closer game.
I despise Draughn I'd love to beat em by 100 but our defense is horrible if we win next week 3rd round will wrap it up no intensity no head hunting I called it 4 years ago look back last years group was the end of the big mean kids it was a post I think I made in 2018 wish em the best but this game should be 60 something to maybe 7 clock running
Well when Mitchell got it to the two then got all the penalties and didn't score it was looking like a back and forth and that just changed the whole game. So while Mitchell might have a hard time stopping them I believe if Mitchell offense who is healthier now plays their game that they'll have a hard time stopping Mitchell.
Heritage up 42 to zip that's pretty impressive I see them back in control of the conference next season
I think Mitchell will surprise some people next year.
I know one thing some big ole lineman mostly sophomores this year one especially who's getting to play more lately #79 6'4" 285 lbs.

Glad to have Duncan back for next week. If he's as healthy as he looked running tonight might have to put Ty in the secondary some like last year playoffs.
But also they really need to put pressure on the QB. The line has been playing better they'll really need to win on the line scrimmage.
Well two things about next week I hope that the forecast of rain changes and I hope Lord willing I'm okay to go to it with the neck issues I'm having it's affecting my left arm and hand plus I'm very left handed. Having a MRI next week. (#15 1 knee 12 back be the second neck)

Appreciate it. I'm afraid I didn't have to get old to fall apart my back problems started in my mid 20's first surgery at 41 , 3 surgeries and haven't been able to work the year I turned 51. It's a degenerative thing that's reached my neck couple years ago.
