Since the day Wheeler signed, I was thinking TyTy was his back-up and likely wouldn't make much of an impact. But if you saw his shooting in that 3pt contest, perhaps I have underestimated him. I'll be honest, even when I read recent comments from Kellan Grady when he specifically mentioned TyTy, and when I read comments from Calipari about him being better than expected, I brushed them off. Ah, that's just a guy being nice and a coach "coach-speaking." TyTy is supposed to be a pass first point guard whose shooting is developing. If he can be a consistent 3pt shooter, perhaps in the 37-40% range, that changes things.
