He'll not only have to get paid, but somebody's going to have to commit to ponying up for SEC-level facilities. Tennessee gonna have to keep up with the Jones's in facilities to keep him.

Two or three years ago (October), we were in the Charlottesville, Virginia area watching our daughter play in a lacrosse tournament. We had some extra time, so we went to UVA to check out their campus.

We drove by their baseball stadium, and there were lots of people going into the stadium. We parked and went inside. UVA and ECU were getting ready for a fall scrimmage baseball game.

We watched some batting practice, infield and a few innings of the scrimmage. I was extremely impressed with ECU baseball team.

The way the ECU players conducted themselves during batting practice, infield and the game was what impressed me most. It was "all business." There was exactly zero goofing off or fooling around.

For example, during infield, every catch/throw/cutoff/fly ball/ground ball was performed at full game speed. Watching them take infield was an outright exhibition of high level baseball.

Also, during the game, when the third out was made each inning, every ECU player ran onto the field/to the dugout. There was no walking or jogging. They weren't running at an all out sprint, but they were running at least 75% full speed . . . and they maintained that pace all the way to their position.

Clearly, the ECU players had a standard of conduct/discipline implemented by their head coach . . . and they followed it with precision.

In my opinion, Godwin is a good one.
