Agreed. I think a huge part of this is the staffs concern over the 3 spot. Kams hurt and not able to workout. Hawthorne seems to be not as far along as they’ve hoped he would be. It makes sense for sure.
If he reclassed today, he’s probably the starter at the 3.

U act like we have some juggernaut roster. This guy has talent and potential. He would be a rotational player for sure. Added another talented player is never a bad thing.

Pope has been after another 3 for a good while and he sees them in practice. I thought we're pretty solid at the 3 but I don't see them everyday. And...what if Kam is less of a sure thing than most of us think, MM cant play D and Brayden just isn't ready yet? Again...Pope has a woody for a 3 for some reason...and he sees them more than we do.

Pope said he wasn't even recruiting the Kusturica kid and most every other guy he's looked at for the 15th spot is a 4 or 4/5 type.

I do agree that the 4/5 is where he should be looking. Thought it pretty much all along this ordeal.
Don't get me wrong, I like our team but I'm not the one seeing them practice every day. I think we're good at the 3 and should focus on the 4 or 5 spot. This season hangs on MM doing a lot better than last season. More than any other position.
Yeah, doesnt really make sense. But some will believe whatever Pope says or Cal or whoever the coach is
What wings has he recruited to come in this year to start at the 3? You didn’t answer my question. Milan will be the 3 and Ousmane and McBride will be the 4’s. We need help at the 2/3 spot yea but not over Milan at the 3
I do agree we recruited kusturica to come in. At that talent level you take him and figure it out. But yes everyone else has been at the 4/5 depth type spot. Kusturica is also a 2/3 type. Zoom Wilkins Milan Ousmane and MM will be the starting 5
Whether he is a starter or backup doesn't matter to me. Under Pope he will get 20 minutes either way and if he is better than the 7th-8th man getting those 20 then we are a better basketball team
