He's a young pitcher, he'll learn the difference in being sore and being injured. If he doesn't learn it next year he may be in Starkville longer than he anticipated. But I don't have a problem with the coaches being cautious. If we go where we wanna go gonna need him.

I dont think it’s JT’s call to be pulled. Every time he’s been pulled it’s been the coaching staff coming out and JT not being happy about it.

That’s why it’s amazing idiot. We are in a regional still dealing with soreness. And the reason I was asking was because someone told me he got hurt somehow, alluded to a leg injury, I didn’t know what he hurt, then I watch the final two innings and tv said soreness. So I was trying to figure it out retard.

The kid turned down MILLIONS of dollars at 18 years old to come here. You best believe we are going to be extra cautious when he has any soreness, especially in 90 degree heat against a SWAC team.

“All year” is an exaggeration. For the past 4-6 weeks, yes, he’s had some issues. He also threw about 40-50 innings before that with no noticeable problems.

Regardless of root cause or how or how serious it is, it seems we aren’t going to reasonably going to be able to count on much from him for the rest of the way. And that really sucks.

Yea, I would assume that we not only want to do the right thing for Ginn b/c it's the right thing, but also because we want future draftees to know if they come here, we will similarly look out for them first.

What’s so “amazing” about a pitcher having soreness in his elbow?

Let me help you figure it out. It’s amazing he had to be pulled in the 3rd inning of game 1 of the post season. Amazing. Hang around long enough and you will figure out I dont use sarcastics...

For what it’s worth, his last warm up pitch with Lemonis standing next to him, him 87mph. If there was some underlying condition that was more serious than just soreness I wouldn’t expect him to be throwing that hard just warming up.

I’m personally more concerned about how down his velocity was (90-92) before the injury even occurred. And I’m sure our coaches were too. Whatever leash he had probably got real short after our coaches saw the gun readings. And this is all after a full week off after a short outing in Hoover. Leaving him in there with a dead arm is just going to get him mashed against good teams. Coaches had no choice.

Idiot and retard? Alright. I was just saying our staff and training staff need to figure it out. He’s had a week of rest. Not to mention this has been a problem for months now. It’s post season play and it’s looking like we are not going to be ale to rely on him moving forward. That’s concerning. I know he’s young but he plays once a week. There’s no excuse to be “sore”. I’m hoping he was just dehydrated or something

You left yourself a halfway out. Sorry If I got confused but starting out with smh, figure it out, after I ask the question, seemed like it was at me not the coaches.

I saw 94 on the gun today. I'd love to have that dead arm.

Assuming we get through this weekend and Ginn is well for next weekend, I would hold Ginn back until Game 3. Maybe we don’t need a Game 3 and he gets an extra week of rest.

Again you hafta look at his youth, this very well may be the most medium to high pressure innings he's ever thrown in a 3-5 month span. So a little arm fatigue isn't unusual. When was the last time a true freshman stepped into the weekend rotation basically since day 1? Seriously asking, baseball years seem to run together making it hard to remember what class who was in when they contributed.

Lemonis probably said “let me see a full effort fastball” and that was the result. And if so, it’s pretty clear why he was pulled.

Man I was told a while back he had another issue other than this specific soreness. Then today I was told he walked off the mound gimpy, maybe the guy was wrong Idk, then we hear sore and wonder if they revealed the other issue . Next we are told the same song second verse and he needs more rest. Something is up.

I was told he 'rolled' his ankle....but he said it could have been a blister on his ankle that was really bad....regardless, he said it was his ankle....much better than his elbow IMO

When he came off the mound to field a bunt, he looked like he twisted awkwardly. Could have been nothing but it wasn’t too much after that, he came out of the game

I was told this morning at the park that it's his neck not his arm. He was looked at after the game at Columbus Orthopedic and it's just a tweaked muscle that won't get well.
