Very interesting hire. Was Capel in line to eventually replace Coach K? Or were others ahead?

i don't think anyone knows. And K will continue to coach until Boeheim is out.
I think he is in the discussion, and making up for some of his shortfalls at OU would do him a world of good.

K will be the ultimate decider on this one. And who knows if he goes for someone from his tree or outside the box. I don't see Brey taking the job.

Tryna set his son up as HCIW to replace him when he retires.

All while getting $1 million per year from Memphis for six years.

Tubby playing chess.

Tubby's also getting up there and may not want a high level job at this point. Used to be, Russ, that we would have old coaches in the A-Sun. Lefty Dreisell was there for several years at Georgia State, and, of course he was calmer than he had been at Md. When FAU moved from the A-Sun to the Sun Belt, we saw Wimp Sanderson at Ark Little Rock. There were one or two others. And, of course, Rollie coached in the Palm Beach area for some 20 years. We saw his team down in West Palm several times. The names seemed to change every year wherever he coached down here.
