Something up with Baker?

Yes. He made a couple terrible passes and was getting abused on defense. Other than that, can’t think of anything.
Yeah that was by far Baker’s worst game of his short career here.
Can’t hide a guy like that on D when its gonna be this team’s calling card. Saddest thing i ever saw was Jimmer Freddete (sp?) from BYU standing in the wings on defense. Was absolutely sad and humiliating.
He's very one dimensional player. Streak shooter. liability defensively, not sure what he brings except for spot offense... Love his attitude and desire to be a Cat though!
I still like JB.

You have to figure this will be a possibility, or else Cal wouldn’t keep inserting him in the game. Just for the speed of the game and repetition of getting open on the wings.
You realize Cal has said multiple times he is good defensively.
Dude Baker’s defense has been a pleasant surprise. Simply didn’t bring his normal energy so
Cal sat him. You have to realize he is behind the rest of teams progress. Way better than Green’s defense.
Baker is a role player we need now and in the future.
He’s going to be a really good player. It’s going to take a while.
I get the sense that Cal knows JB is a little fragile right now, and he’s encouraging him instead of being hard on him.
He has played solid D and he is a good passer. Plays under control too simply had an off game.
Baker is a very good defender and has shown as much ( he did on Saturday ) but he was bad today and Cal saw enough. No big deal.
He’s reportedly sick.
He just didn’t play well tonight. Kid will be one of those who teams lay off of a he will make them pay. The skills are there he’s still working hard on his game.
You must have him confused with somebody else, because Baker has most certainly NOT been a defensive liability since he's gotten healthy.

Sometimes just not your night and he was under the weather, as are a lot of people right now. Hopefully he's not contagious. We don't need half the team coming down with whatever he does have with Kansas coming up.
I’d say a respiratory illness could do it if you’re exerting yourself that much.
Baker plays really hard when out there. Yeah he had a bad game, but he’s hit some big shots for us this year, plus he’s coming back a major knee injury. He’s played maybe 7 games he will get better over time. As long as he sticks with us, by the time he’s a senior he could be really really good. Anytime he has an open look, 9 time of 10 it’s going in. He’s still trying to find his role and the best part is he keeps the defense honest. Really like baker a lot and I believe he will continue to contribute

Darn, I know how badly some of you wanted to find something negative and tear a player down. Bummer.

Jemarl Baker was sick today, but Calipari says he really defended when out there. Cal went to put him back in and Baker told him he couldn't feel his legs.
