As bad as this season looks so far, let's not miss the big positive here. Assuming we either fail to make the NIT and/or we pass due to apathy (no one cares about the NIT), then Ace and Dylan should have plenty of extra time to prepare for the draft. Kind of a subtle but brilliant move by Pike to show how he gets his players ready. What other coach would put together such a bad roster to ensure no post season and the best draft interests of his two one and dones. It's 3d chess at its best and I would be surprised if it wasn't part of Pikes Master plan all along. Anyway, with no post season hopes to speak of, enjoy the rest of this special season. We only get so many of them. In 12 weeks, Ace and Dylan will be moving on and it will be all over. I will truly miss their legacies here, but at least we had them while we did and can celebrate the lasting memories for years to come!! It's that hope that will carry me through the next few seasons when things actually get even worse.

If come February we are 100 percent out of it, Ace and Dylan will sit out. And then we will be the laughingstock of the country, and Pike even more so.

Right. People care too much about wins and losses. Re-direct your hopes and goals to $6 hotdogs, long bathroom lines and 45 minute postgame traffic exits and this will be remembered as a season for the ages.

Their legacies? A legacy of losing?

Dylan will not sit out because of the family connection to RU and thus neither will Ace. Will their play be real focused? That’s another question.

They will work on their numbers. Since they don't have to go to classes 2nd semester they will focus on health and training.
