I don't mind Jimmy but he's been adamant about 2 things this site has agreed--they need to have Dontaie Allen and Isaiah Jackson on the floor to help them on both ends--Allen to space floor and be a threat from outside and Jackson defensively/rebounding. Biggest thing that I'd take from his sound of frustration is he talks with the coaches and hears what they are saying but for whatever reason it's not taking place in the games. Sports aren't very complex, it's quite simple and if you can identify issues but refuse to address them, expecting a different outcome? I mean it's pretty crazy--literally.
This team stinks. I was 1000000000000000000 (not enough zeroes to support this) WRONG about this group/team. Horrible take on them. Horrible take on the class and in any measurement I was wrong. Sucks...but not admitting being wrong as much as having to watch a team this poor play each game. In no way did I see the lack of development from certain players and only area we all had concerns has magnified as an unfixable nightmare is PG position. Cannot have players who are that slow and poor making decisions play at this level. But BJ Boston has been a complete bust and Terrence Clarke wasn't lighting it up at all either. Sarr is a horrible fit for Cal coached team and while I never have info from transfer portal, thought he'd be better than he's been and that busted.
The painful thing for coaches is they can agree with our takes but have to figure out a way to play and be competitive and try to win games. This group never finishes or takes steps--it's always back to Step 1. Dykes talks with Cal, Assistants to prep for games and no matter what anyone thinks of Dykes-he's lived the life--College Assistant, NBA Scout, College HC, etc...so he's not some hayseed throwing crap at wall and he sounds disgusted watching UK play based on fact nothing ever improves or looks as what he's told they are trying to convey to players. So either players aren't listening or coaches aren't getting message across but either way it's brutal basketball to watch and I'm sure announce. If there is ever a team to earn this record and distinction as the worst in UK history in various categories--it surely is this group.
