Are you a proponent of this because your dad pays you, and you stay at home?
I think we can all agree that we'd like to be back to normal by now, like the rest of the civilized modern world. Unfortunately we have a large portion of this country that is simply not patriotic and won't even stay at home or wear a mask for their country. Frustrating that a return to normal has been delayed by those who do not truly support this country

define Beaten, then list countries and how much they paid each citizen to stay at home.

Then tell us how many countries are in an election year where the opposite party did not weaponize their response against the incumbent president.

Then verify what criteria they are actually using to report their numbers where money is not an incentive to the healthcare system.

Then I would be happy to entertain some random twitter post.

Supporting a family and supporting your country aren’t mutually exclusive. Enjoy your day at home.

I am very blessed. I work hard. I have built a good reputation. I provide valuable services. Is the Government going to pay Me 260,000 to 275,000 to stay home?
If so I have several problems
1. Who does that?
2. Why would the Government do that?
3. What’s in it for them?
4. How can they afford to pay me and other people like me?
5. Someone please wake me up

Hiding in your home while the economy tumbles is not "beating" covid. Covid won in that scenario if everything you worked for is gone and the government is broke.

Europe is still largely shut down and their governments are having a hard time paying the bill on this. Their economies are trash and they are a LONG way from being "normal". Any suggestion that they have "beaten" covid is moronic.

I have never blocked anyone anywhere on the net. How does that work? I might need to know.

When you block a guy, does he know? I hope so.

all of those countries can also thank Trump for keeping the US/World economy active during this so that those small countries can take other actions.

Again, You're welcome world. The US saved the day again from a communist attack.

At least I will be able to look my kids in the eyes and honestly tell them that I carried out my patriotic duty as an American and wore a mask. I didn’t make it all about me. I sacrificed and did what was best for the country while others who felt entitled and incredibly lazy decided that their own convenience was more important than the state of the nation.

Feels good to be a patriotic American who loves his country.

This is the same line of thinking I apply to not getting my vaccines or wearing a seatbelt. By taking my time to get vaccinated I’m letting the diseases win. I’ll be damned if some fake disease like tetanus or diphtheria will change my way of life! Wearing a seatbelt is just letting big government control my life!!

If you think you are a patriot for wearing a mask you're more of a dumbass than a thought.

I get your point, but he's not completely wrong here either. Normal cloth masks have limited value protecting you, they simply aren't going to filter a virus, but they do have value in protecting others if you are infected by simply blocking/stopping some of the droplets you spew by just breathing or talking. So when I hear someone (like that dude in Florida) ranting about how he'd die for the constitution, but refuses to wear a mask that might save his fellow Americans if he gets sick. That simply doesn't pass the ******** test.

Cmon, man, this is the roundtable and it is food for thought. No need to shoot the OP.

It was original posted squarely in the West Zone—and thankfully, the mods moved it. OP pulls that **** all the time. This board exists for a reason.

If Trump was really smart. He would attack this thing the same way China has. They have more people than the US and only 4600 total deaths. That is remarkable. That is the model we should be using.
