I’m talking even refs for 12 year old girls. I’ve met many who were great guys and made their share of mistakes but far too many just live to screw with people. They are on power trips. The problem is who wants their job? No matter what call they make half the people watching will tell them they suck. That leads to a self loathing breed who love to torture people.
There aren’t many games where we say the refs did a great job. I always tried to talk to refs before and after games when I coached and had some good discussions. I argued some calls but I told them I couldn’t do their job. The good guys appreciated that but the douchers held a grudge for 8 years for any calls I argued.
