15 years after we helped kick Temple out of the Big East Football Conference they beat Maryland; we lose by 41 points. How can Temple be out- recruiting us?

Does this mean that we’ll lose to Penn State by 100 points??

Is it possible to just forfeit the rest of our games and start over next year? The agony of each Saturday is getting to me.

Have we gone from ‘dumpster fire’ status to ‘landfill fire’ status?

Could Nick Saban or Dabo Swinney win here?

Did we make a deal with the devil to win that first ever football game requiring us to suck from then on??

Sorry, just rambling. I know the sun will come up tomorrow and the next coaching staff will take us to the glory days we deserve. Bring on next year!!

It’s quite simple how we did it. First of all, don’t compare TU of 2019 to the TU of 2000. The difference is night and day.

Secondly, the administration now in place runs circles around our previous administration. Absolutely no comparison. They vet qualified candidates.

We may not have the bells and whistles and toys like a P5 program, but we find and hire candidates that know how to target D1 prospects that get overlooked and successfully coach them up.

Bad name to bring up considering the stunt he pulled today, but Blackshear is a prime example. TU targeted him first. It was only after Michigan St got involved did he begin to blow up. Kid reneged on his verbal to TU once he got the MSU offer. Only difference between MSU and RU was the fact that Dantonio wasn’t going to deal with his **** and pulled the offer once he found out he was going on an OV to RU.

Thanks, I always thought Temple - Rutgers could eventually be a great regional football rivalry and was sorry they went separate ways. Could be a good basketball rivalry too but there you also have Temple Big 5 rivalries and Rutgers -Seton Hall rivalry.

I don't know who they target now but Temple used to recognize they can't compete with PSU, PITT, RU etc so they passed on the high interest guys and recruited size/power game. They used to be a horrible match-up for Army. You used to just see army players buried under piles of Owls - just arms and legs sticking out.
