2. 6-0 G Dalen Davis -- 11.8 ppg - oddly, he shoots 38.6% overall from the field, but better from 3-pt range at 39.7% (29-73) -- guessing JMike will get this assignment
3. 6-7, 220 F Caden Pierce -- 11.3 ppg, 6.7 rpg - shoots 53.1% overall (52-98) and 39.1% from deep (9-23)
4. 6-1 G Blake Peters -- 9.9 ppg -- he takes almost exclusively 3-point shots, as 76 out of his 81 shots were from deep, and he has connected on 30-76 for 39.5%
5. 6-7, 207 F Malik Abdallahi -- 6.0 ppg, 2.8 rpg in about 16 minutes per game - has not taken any threes
6. 6-9, 230 F/C Philip Byriel -- 5.8 ppg, 2.1 rpg, but he takes a lot of threes (18-45 for 40%)

Princeton has taken almost 50% of their shots from 3-pt range (339 out of 703) and are shooting a healthy 38.3% from deep (130-339). My guess is that we will see less of Ogbole and more of Sommerville and Martini in this game, and will probably see some Dylan Grant too, as Princeton does not have many "big" guys, and the bigs they play shoot threes (except for Abdallahi). I would bet we will see Ace Bailey playing some center in this game too.

• Lee, Davis, Pierce, and Peters are the main threats, but can't sleep on Abdallahi in the post or Byriel off the bench as a stretch 4/5
• They're going to shoot A LOT of threes and are likely going to HIT a lot of threes -- the team cannot get down in the dumps about it, just have to keep chopping and execute on offense, while hoping to "limit" their threes -- the goal should be to make them work and to limit them to single digit made threes.

Rutgers always has problems defending Princeton's back door cuts and 3 point shooting.What has been more concerning is Rutgers lack of a half court offense with dribble drives and passes to the corners for three pointers.Princeton would easily win this game if Bailey and Harper weren't playing.In Rutgers case they don't have the right combination of offense/defense to blow out opponents which means another nail biter type game.

Xavian Lee is very, very good off the bounce, but we can't fall into the trap of doubling him on PnR or sagging down if he dribble drives, as he will kick it out to any one of 3 or 4 shooters on the wing, and they will kill us from deep. We just have to live with guarding him straight up and let them try and beat us making twos instead of threes.

The other problem with overplaying the 3-pt line is, like you said, the back door cuts. Our defenders need to have their heads on a swivel, guarding their man tight enough to avoid quick spot-up threes but watching for the cuts.

This is going to be another meat-grinder of a game, or worse if Princeton is "on" with their deep shooting.

We will absolutely have a crowd advantage. Last year, Princeton had barely anybody at CURE/Trenton, and Jerry Carino said in his pod today that he thinks Princeton might send about 1,000 fans.

So if there are 8,000 in the house, it will be like a home game.

I was actually thinking more in terms of noise and energy. I’m sure we’ll have many multiples of their fans. The RAC probably won us the PSU and SH games as much as Dylan and Ace did.
