Not to start yet another potential coach / fire JoMo thread....seriously. But he has APSU on the cusp of their first ever auto bid to the FCS playoffs, and also stands to break the school record for most wins in a season. Only thing standing in the way is....a 1-10 team. Pretty good Year 1 for him....be good to see him finish it out.

He's so obviously the guy that should be coaching MSU, that it will never ever happen.

But NCAAz issuezzzz!!! Last time I checked, King Jackie, Dom Merlot and Sloppy Joe got us put on probation too.

When you are already on probation you can't hire head coach who was involved in one, you just can't. I know he wasn't directly linked, but neither was JWS. The NCAA wanted him and they eventually got him.

Why not? What are the actual percentage chances that we go on probation the next two years (repeat offender time) with Hud vs. any other coach? This is an irrational fear.

Besides, the NCAA doesn't 'want' Hud.

Read my first post in the thread. We aren't talking about if we will hire him. From the things I know, I agree we won't hire him. And that is still a ridiculous decision.

I can only hope our big money guys step in and make the AD do the right thing.

He'd be better (for us). He can coach a little Xs and Os. He wouldn't be able to afford the same staff so that's pretty critical.

Probably not. There are lots of coaching candidates out there, so it's probably not going to be Hud. But I think if there were a reason for him to not be a candidate it would have leaked out by now. Lots of people hinting but I think they just like to pretend they're in the know.

No he wouldn't. Once he became head coach of UNA, I think he has been a head coach at every stop other than his ones at MSU? He's not going to be a manager of other coaches and the program. He will be hands on in coaching and will not be as dependent on the coordinator on his side of the ball.

this is about as dumb as the Norvell thing. He is still coaching in the NCAA and has no show cause. there are a lot of coaches that have had issues with NCAA from some staff member at some point.
