Some classic games this week...

Oklahoma (-10) vs Texas - Red River Rivalry!

Notre Dame (-10) vs Southern Cal - I'll never forget Anthony Davis and that 2nd half comeback in the '74 game.

LSU (-13) vs Florida - LSU has looked almighty powerful, but against mostly weak opponents. This one will be a night game in Tiger Stadium, so the spread is probably about right. Still, I look for Grantham and the Florida D to slow LSU down some, and Mullen might be able to muster just enough offense to pull off an upset.

No way Florida beats LSU. Didn’t you learn that from Auburn? Going on the road after a big win at home is difficult.

The LSU-Florida cross-divisional rivalry makes this one a little different. Again, Florida has the defense to slow LSU down. They just need a little offense to keep it interesting. I wouldn't bet the house on an upset, but I wouldn't be surprised, either.

I think LSU will win, but their defense hasn’t been as strong as in the years past from what I’ve seen. UF might be able to put some points on the board. It’ll be a fun game to watch for sure.

I know I'm not pointing out anything astounding here, but by hanging that 13, the odds makers are taking a strong position with LSU. A good defensive team like Florida shouldn't be getting that kind of number. They knew that a lot of people would gawk at a number that big and they didn't shy from it.

Florida has an elite defense. Could be a top 5 in the country. They will be in every game because of it.

The real question is how Trask plays at Tiger Stadium at night. He'll decide the game unless Florida's defense doesn't show up at all or LSU can catch them being too aggressive and Florida gets in a big hole early.

I expect it to be pretty close.
