Look at what Pitino is doing - 3/4 of his portal grabs have been Euros. Less attitude, bag chasing. Illinois may have had the best chemistry in the country this past year. They could probably deal with Pope's dorkiness as they don't know any better. Underwood is a bit weird too. Likely should have sent someone over there and passed on all the US bag chasing.

Guys better than Freeman will be removing their name from the draft. Pick a few of those guys up with Stokes' money and the other money we have left. Still have a good chance to buy some real good players, it just may take longer than most want.

And there are different levels of talent in the Euro leagues. Pope will recruit the DII talent version leagues while Pitino and others recruit the NBA/G League version.
