They're still a last place team. The conference isn't that strong this year either. FL and AR are the best and neither are as good as FL normally is. AL has been hit with injuries and they're a bit overrated. UGA and TN are down. AU and A&am aren't very good. LSU is down. KY is down. Just not a strong year.

And two of those wins were vs last place SC. Anyone outside the top 10, normally doesn't make it. We'll have to win the series with UGA and need LSU to win their series with AU. Then we've got a shot.

Only because the SEC was strong. It's not as strong this year. We'll see...beyond the top 10 will be tough IMO but the UGA win over OU might swing some weight.

Hmmm, We were ranked 24th before the SEC started. Wonder why we have floundered so bad with a weak SEC?

From a quick look a the coaches' poll, SEC has 9 teams ranked and 2 others receiving votes. Doesn't seem all that weak to me.
