CONCACAF Octagonals are today…

The USMNT is at Panama - Game Time is 5 pm

The standings are as follows:

The US might be in first place in the octagonals currently but Panama is in fourth and can make things a lot more interesting with a home win.

Mexico is in second place thanks to goal differential and hosts 7th place Honduras.

Third place Canada is at Jamaica.

Fifth place El Salvador is at 6th Costa Rica.

The US obviously would like a win to get some separation from Panama but considering the health of the midfielders and that McKennie did not travel and is resting up for the Costa Rica match at Columbus on the 13th, I wouldn’t be surprised at a draw.

Disappointed, yes, but not surprised.

Prediction: Hat Trick from Pepi. Seriously, this is another possible "we get intimidated at Concacaf away games" and play poorly. But, I don't think we need those guys to win. We need Acosta and Zimmerman to set a tone and let Panama know there will be payback for kicking our guys. Maybe Hoppe in the second half for a spark.

Mexico leads 1-0 at home against 10-man Honduras.

Canada falls to fourth and Panama at the moment moves to third.

Costa Rica picks up a much needed 3 points at home against El Salvador.

The US definitely needs 3 points on Wednesday.

US is playing with fire with Berhalter coaching. He's in way over his head. Need to go big and offer a ton of money to Pep Guardiola or Jurgen Klopp after the World Cup. Two best coaches in the world and both probably headed to international soccer after their contracts are up. I figure Klopp will go to Germany, but Pep may be interested in coaching these young players.
