One thing I've noticed about our fan base, and maybe other fan bases as well, is that we put so much weight on what a player does profesionally when remembering them and not so much on what they did while in School.

Example: Jeffrey Rea had an amazing career but rarely gets talked about. Papelbon's career here and the teams he was on were pretty average but what he did with the Red Sox gets him attention. And while Clark and Raffy had amazing MSU careers, they don't have statues in front of Dudy if not for their MLB success.

Do you build one for a coach while he is still here, with one title and just a couple years into his tenure? I say Coach gets one later, he just got here and I hope he goes on to have a great career. After decade or so of excellence or he gets another title or two he can get that statue while still coaching.
