Maybe we can find out early and that help recruiting transfers

Would be nice. I think that only affects Powell. I don't think UK is going to be a huge "transfer" player this offseason. Powell for sure. Not sure about all these pther transfers. Most of them have huge holes in their game

Bigger ? is do you want to run it back with the same roster/staff? I don't and wouldn't. Things don't change because you are older, they change when you get better talent. This team's PG play is putrid. They had 3/4 chances in this game with 4 on 2 and had to pull it out because the guys handling the ball have no concept how to run a fast break. It wasn't one player either. The most telling thing--their best open court plays were by a guy who hadn't played a game since mid December.

inability to run a fast break is also lack of coaching
the coaching is as bad as the point guard play & it will be no better next year unless a transfer comes in

Hardy and a dynamite point guard to go with Oscar could be a beginning foundation to at least a break even season

This atrocious season was caused by a couple things . Cal going with Askew nearly all year at PG . His refusal to play Allen when Clarke went down . With Mintz at the PG and Allen at the 2 we would be setting above 500 IMO.

Except we lost with that lineup today to a bad team.

I guess I forgot to add -- NEVER EVER PLAY WARE . EVER . And be real , yeah we lost this game , but Askew still played 20 minutes , and losing this 1 game doesnt mean the results wouldnt be far better over a 15 game stretch.

cal Has to press these kids for decisions. No time for the “process”. Who is gonna come if Boston is up in the air? Or brooks or many players? You wait and you’re left with scraps.

you are correct this roster is psychologically damaged and that can leak like a sieve for years if it isn’t cut off immediately. You know when your players don’t know what they’re doing, when none of your assistants become successful head coaches, when you can’t coach a team To a win by mastering situational play that is a firm indicator of poor coaching.

I am hoping beyond doubt that both Boston and Clarke come back. Not only to develop and live in the weight room but to actually enjoy the college experience and what rupp could really be like.

In reality though, if we could return Mintz, Allen, Toppin, Brooks, Fletcher, and Askew. Add our recruits along with grad transfer at point, and the lights out transfer shooter, We can make some noise. All that is assuming are guys living the weight room and work on their game in the offseason.

They will all stand in front of the camera over the next week and talk about how much they love UK, plan on returning to accomplish unfinished business. Then in another month, they all transfer or enter draft.

I had to record the game. Honestly, whenever Askew and Ware were in together, I just fast forwarded.

Seems to be what usually happens.
