Majority of those with doe eyed fascination and worship of John Calipari support him because they agree with his wOkE “agenda”. They have a hard time separating the two (which is common these days).

This is projection from people who hate Cal more for his politics than for his results as a coach. Lot of you were absolutely giddy watching us suck this year because it gave you ammo to use against Cal. To salve your conscience, you project this onto other people.

Not true. I saw Cal was a ****** coach in 2015 against Wisky. Nothing he has done since has proven otherwise.

See, I don’t have a problem with that though. That’s Kentucky fans being Kentucky fans. It’s how the fanbase has always rolled. But it’s the same posters from the political thread leading the fire Calipari bandwagon. That’s not coincidence.

And no, I don’t disagree with firing Calipari because of some support for wokeness. I just think fans are reactionary and perception in sports can change quickly. I don’t think you make decisions like that bass on snapshots in time.

there’s definitely some political influence from both sides, but I really don’t care. What’s it matter? Politics are a waste of time. I don’t care what you are Dem, Republican, etc. I’m only interested in talking UK basketball.

You have no idea just how weird I can get. I take meds for it. Come off the meds a few days and I am crazy. They said had some thing to do with Vietnam. I never really understood what.
Alright, while I give you a hard time, if you want to legitimately kill me for the internet, I will give you a break.

After this season? Hell I'll just pick a random poster off this board to replace him. This question Cal supporters keep asking has lost its bite.

Ok, name the guy then. Who would be better than Cal to lead this program?

Let me guess - Stevens, Vogel, Spoelstra, Pop, Billy Donovan, Mark Few, Jay Wright....anyone else you'd like to add?

Sure. And while I do care about politics and clearly don’t shy away from them, I’m just not sold that firing Calipari is what’s best for program

You don't get it do you? Just about any coach in America would have done better than the sh*t show Cal produced this year. I see very little if any evidence that Cal is going to improve the situation. This isn't the same Cal we hired that had the success he had prior to 2015. It doesn't matter anyway what name I give you, you'll just pick it a part because no coach is perfect. So again, I'll just say, "all the names." I'll literally take anyone not named Pitino over Cal at this point. And if that coach doesn't work out, we try again. Bama went through a few coaches before they found Saban. We might have to do the same, and that's OK.

That’s simply not true. The top two highest paid coaches both failed to make tournament this season. But regardless, it’s 100% not true that any other coach is better than Calipari. Truth is 99% aren’t.

I am good for now. Just be yourself. I’d like to see what type of person you really are. Don’t be a phony or troll or instigator.

I'm not emotionally invested in Kentucky basketball anymore and it has been a slow drain for me since the 2017-2018 season. I just think it's a crappy culture. The insane roster turnover is the main reason. Because of that, you get bad basketball for a huge portion of the season. The problem is amplified when you've got nothing but a new crop of delusional and selfish players or failed recruits.

Win or lose, none of this has affected me anymore since the 2017 UNC loss. But it would be nice to actually enjoy basketball again. It's just a bad product all around but it's definitely not enjoyable with the system Cal has created and his ridiculous ego to deflect and blameshift. I'm not suggesting firing as I'm a realist. But I wouldn't miss him and would welcome a different take on how to reshape the program.

You guys can't have it both ways. You complain about getting all of the 5 stars but then turn around and complain about the play of these multi-year players. This is how 3 or 4 year players play their first year.

Nobody else has proven that they can lose their entire roster each year and still win 80% of his games year end and year out. This year is just a blip along with a weird Covid year. The great majority of fans understand this and are not jumping off thw bridge like a lot of the negative Nancy's posting on this board.

People have short memories on this board or are proving themselves as trolls. The year after we played in the NIT, we were playing in the championship game. These same trolls were saying the same thing back then...lol

It ain't one bad year. He has earned no free pass. He gets paid to produce. The last 6 years he is winning at a 73% pace. That is only above Sutton and BCG. The Cal that came to UK left after his title and HOF.
The last 6 years is plenty of enough data to see that Cal has declined in recruiting and winning.
I don't want Stevens or Donovan. Never have. Never have even considered them. Cal lost his drive and fire.
Just admit you're a Cal hater..You out yourself when you say the "last 6 years" ..the Fox and Monk team was maybe the best in the country..remember the 38-1 team..and last year's team with 3 very good guards and a rim protector in Nick would have been right there...Like I said this is the only year other than the NIT team that we had no shot at a title..Cal gets a pass..Did Cal lose you over the kneeling?

I don’t want Cal gone, but he is the highest paid coach in college bball. We could get a lot of great coaches for that money.

That is what Cal tried to do. He has a lot of 3 and 4 year players but people expected 5 star player results...
Boston, Sarr, and Clarke killed the season..they were projected to be stars....I think the lack of a PG doomed us from the start

When is enough enough?

This year is enough. Losing record in the SEC. Losing record overrall. Losr in the first game of the SECT. Miss the NCAAT. That's enough for me. I don't care what happened years ago with Cal. This Cal is lost and has no answers or solutions.

He's all talk. #1 recruiting class. Top transfer and he absolutley stunk it up this year. He can go somewhere else and sell his elixir.

I'll say it and I don't care who likes it. He doesn't deserve another year. He's had 12 years. It's not working anymore. He's not gonna change. He doesn't think he needs to change. He needs to go and I don't care what everybody else thinks (national media). His last 6 years have been nothing great. It's time to move on.
I agree he doesn't need another year he had enough years!
