So when does enough = enough?

I feel like some of you are blaming Coach Cal, which myself and many others find unfair. The man did everything he could this year, hell, he's a victim more so than us. These guys just didn't deliver, he provided the packages and the routes, they just got lost along the way...

Short of an NBA team wanting Calipari, he's not leaving. Now, that doesn't change the fact that he's created a monster with this system and I don't mean that in a good way. This season was inevitable. We've had years where the teams lost a lot and were not good (2013, 2018) but this season is worse case scenario and there's nothing that's going to fix it under Cal. This will be an issue for quite some time.

1 bad year and they come out of the woodwork...Everyone that wants Cal gone be careful we could get another Billy G...Who could we get?.. Billy D and Stevens are not coming..so tell me who ....I think many want him gone over the kneeling. any reasonable fan knows Cal has earned a pass this year..
Bad year? In blueblood terms, this was a train wreck that crashed into a hospital, burned it to the ground and poisoned the surrounding population.

When is enough enough?

This year is enough. Losing record in the SEC. Losing record overrall. Losr in the first game of the SECT. Miss the NCAAT. That's enough for me. I don't care what happened years ago with Cal. This Cal is lost and has no answers or solutions.

He's all talk. #1 recruiting class. Top transfer and he absolutley stunk it up this year. He can go somewhere else and sell his elixir.

I'll say it and I don't care who likes it. He doesn't deserve another year. He's had 12 years. It's not working anymore. He's not gonna change. He doesn't think he needs to change. He needs to go and I don't care what everybody else thinks (national media). His last 6 years have been nothing great. It's time to move on.

It ain't one bad year. He has earned no free pass. He gets paid to produce. The last 6 years he is winning at a 73% pace. That is only above Sutton and BCG. The Cal that came to UK left after his title and HOF.
The last 6 years is plenty of enough data to see that Cal has declined in recruiting and winning.
I don't want Stevens or Donovan. Never have. Never have even considered them. Cal lost his drive and fire.

Also, a bad year 24-10 or along those lines. This wasn't a bad year. It was an hisorically bad year. 100 years bad year. Stop drinking the kool aid and see what is right in front of you.

Totally. Billy D and Brad Stevens aren’t available so that means no coach!

A slew of coaches could replicate John Calipari’s last 6 seasons (including worst in program history). A SLEW of them. Stop living in 2009-2015. Those seasons aren’t happening anymore. Those players aren’t coming here anymore and solid veterans aren’t sticking around like those years. These are facts.

Getting a coach who runs an actual offense and doesn’t have players quit mid season and transfer every year would he nice. Not having to get An entirely brand new team of 2nd tier 5 stars/4 stars and obscure transfers every year ya know?

Last 6 years could EASILY be replicated and could maybe even be fun again.

You’ll be saying this exact same thing next year when we end the season outside of the top 25/in the NIT or maybe a 12 seed.

Who are you replacing him with?
For these results? Plenty. I’ll take Rick Pitino at half the cost right now. But I know, you keep looking at Cal’s overall body of work and it’s impressive at Kentucky. Even with 0 final fours in 5 years now despite bringing in at least a top 2 recruiting class every year in that time. Still pretty impressive when you take in UK’s bad luck in ‘17 and being a possession or two away in ‘19.

But it’s trending downward from admittedly a very high mountain but that high mountain got him the salary and essentially a lifetime contract so basically, Cal has to have his feet held to the fire for this disastrous season. It’s the only way to reverse some course here. Cal has to feel real pressure most logical fans know he’s going to be the head coach here next season but we can also recognize that this season was unacceptable, real change needs to happen in Lexington for Kentucky to return to contention.
